The date & place of St. Patrick's birth are uncertain. He was born about
the year 389, the son of Calpurnius, a Roman-British deacon, and Conchessa. When he was 16, he was carried as a captive into
Ireland & obligated to serve a heathen master as a herdsman. Despite the harshness of the life there, he not only held
on to his faith but also learned the science of prayer & contemplation.
After 6 years he effected a miraculous
escape & returned home. In a dream, he was told to go back and [evangelize] Ireland. ... He travelled the length &
breadth of Ireland, planting the faith everywhere despite the hostility of the Druids, & succeeded in converting several
members of the royal family. ...
...On a visit to Rome in 442, he...organized the Church of Ireland... In
winning a pagan nation for Christ, St. Patrick established many monasteries for men & women & made it famous for its...piety
& learning. In the ensuing centuries Irish monks carried the faith to England, France & Switzerland.
After
living a completely apostolic life of labor & prayer, St. Patrick died on March 17, 461, in Down in Ulster, leaving behind
his CONFESSIONS which give a vivid picture of a great man of God.

SUNDAY, JANUARY 8, 2012: Dear Friends,
This past Friday, January 6 (1990) is the day I consider my born-again birthday (my rebirth discovery actually occured over
a short period of time in the fall of 1989).
To say it has been a fabulous 22 years would be a vast understatement.
I had no idea when I signed on for this thing :) that JESUS would be the way He is & that He would lead me on the course
He has...but good & bad - GOD, DO I LOVE IT!
I really hope that
if you have never accepted JESUS as your Savior or explored Him for yourself, that you will do so. I can honestly & earnestly
say that I have NEVER been happier in my life (& I did some FUN things & met some phenomenal people when I lived in
LA/Hollywood [& elsewhere]) than since I made peace with Christ/God. Every day is a brand new adventure (Lamentations
3:23).
I hope you will check into Him too (if you haven't). Love, PTM

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 24, 2011: One of the main reasons, dear friends, that I have developed something of a
following is because while everyone's Preacher was busy saying..."Noooo mauhn (man) knoweth thee day nor thee owah
(hour)" (Matthew 24:36) which, of course, we all know & can read for ourselves, I was saying "yes, that is true,
but the Lord does give us some serious road signs long the way so that we are not completely blindsided by these things" -
and not in a weird way.
Most anyone who is even half-way aware of their surroundings knows something is up. Right now it is obvious
that the entire Middle East is being restructured. "Christian" and secular person alike know/senses that evil is running
rampant everywhere and they want answers. Most Christian Pastors were just telling them not to worry about it or oftentimes
giving them the same old secular answers they could get in a Ladies Magazine...pro-active people & people who are hurting
are not quite happy with those answers.

MONDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2011: And then it hit me, remember the 3 simple little things the
Lord gave at Rosh? The first "The battle is not yours, it's the Lords..." (2 Chronicles 2:15), the other two just sorta
non-specific, everyday good advice?
That is because He knew (of course!) what was coming in the whole Middle East situation (& even Wisconsin
:) ) and it's a little above my/your/our expertise, etc.
The Father - like any parent - had some work to do and He just sorta needed "the kids" outta of the
way while He took care of it all/worked on it.
See that's what I mean...God tells us to do or not do something and it doesn't even make sense, sometimes
we wonder HOW that could be so or maybe we're hearing Him wrong or whatever. Then, down the road, Viola', there's the reason.
That's why I always say, you can NEVER go wrong if you do the right thing, and the right thing is always
to listen to God & then do what He tells you (if anything).
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 25: I have added a new page regarding HOPE (see sidebar left). It is one of the things
I read in my devotions this morning. It applies to everyone because it lets us know that no matter what our situation, we
don't have to do it all on our own - God is there helping us...He Himself has a vested interest in these things.
Pay particular attention to the first couple of sentences of the last paragraph. Ciao & <3 , People!

Also, today is 2/22. This reminds me of my admonition from The Lord - 2 Timothy 2:2.
(Miss Goody-Two-Shoes has made out a list & narrowed it down to about 4 or 5 perfect specimens
of mankind that you obviously consider to be just wonderful, credible, beyond capable, sitting at the right hand
of God, etc.; you can go get one of these wise hard-working modern marvels of intelligence, style, wit, Sainthood & all
things good from the beginning of time to do these things for you. Ciao.)

TUESDAY, JANUARY 18, 2011 - ATTENTION: I am doing
some research & would like to know what the various theories are in regards to WHY God is going to have a 7 year Tribulation
period. In other words, what is the PURPOSE of that 7 year period. He could just close everything down & head straight
thru to the millenial reign, but for some reason He doesn't.
I am NOT asking or debating whether or not you believe there is going to be one, or the various last days
theologies (preterist,etc.), etc.. I simply want to know the various theories re the above.

SUNDAY, December 12, 2010: I have reworked the "What Christians
Believe" Link/Tract so that it will print up on one page (at least it does on my computer). It can end before or after the
words CHRISTIANS-AT-LARGE.
Also, I would like to remind everyone that during the bodys natural change
over from warm weather to cold that it is more susceptible to the Devils onslaught of sickness (sorry if this is a little
late but since I am never sick I forget this, plus I live in Florida :) ). Therefore here is the link to "claim" in regards
to good health: www.phyllisthemissionary.com/sickness Print this up or leave it up on a screen and read and reread these scripture
verses. Internalize them. Say them out loud.
Keep in mind that the Devil is not going to just say, "Well, ok", and particularly
not the first time or when you are new at implementing the blessings God has in store for His people. Keep at it.
Additionally, do common sense things & the things God suggests and don't
get hysterical :) . Rest your body and mind 1 day in 7 so that you don't get run down and make your body susceptible; eat
right; get a little exercise; be a good girl or boy ;) . And remember, when you come under spiritual attack to remain even
more diligent to continue in the things of the Lord (prayer, Bible-reading, helping others, etc.).
The Holy Spirit prevailed upon me a few years ago to keep a little Sudafed/antihistimine around
so that when the body is changing over from summer mode to winter mode (like winterizing a car) and your sinuses, etc. are
readjusting to that, keeping them dry at the first sign of any problem will usually stop the devil in his tracks.
Remember, "resist the Devil and he will flee" (James 4:7). Again,
just because he "attacks" trying to make you sick, doesn't mean that you have to succomb; if he is strong enough to establish
a foothold this time, don't become discouraged & don't let that affect you the next time he tries...hunker down even more.
Run him off, don't run around negative confessing that you're sick...he loves that -- it amounts to a form of praise for him
and his "works", therefore fueling him and giving him just a little more power and wherewithal to do it again the next time.
Don't go to bed, don't get the tissues out, start blowing your nose, etc....only when necessary.
In fact, the best thing to do is just "forget about it". Then,
brag about it to anyone who will listen how when he attacked you, you ran him off pretty quickly. Remember, Rome wasn't built
in a day. You can do it...I know you can. I'm serious. Trust me, I'm a cream-puff and if I can do it - anybody can.

piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts
and intents of the heart.
Or, put another way: For The Word of God [The Bible] is LIVING (?!) and active and sharper than any two-edged sword,
and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions
of the heart.
Take your pick: the New American Standard (NAS) is considered the Scholar's Bible, but when in doubt ALWAYS go back
to the King James (KJV). (I keep a variety of versions/interpretations on hand for study - it makes/keeps it exciting.
Yes, I know how silly that sounds but it is true. :) )
It you just can't afford it and you get in touch with me, I might be able to help you out, but, unfortunately, that's
not a promise! :)
(Notes: Re the above verses: the first is KJ, 2nd NAS. Also, I'll be happy to help you understand The Bible or put you
in touch with others who can, but that wasn't really the point of what I wrote today.)
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2: Well, as God & Robert Schuller say, "This is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice &
be glad in it." That's nice. It is also the day that Florida is going to whip Alabama's you-know-what. GO GATORS! :) ;)

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 25: On this date in 2007 I wrote the following on my website:
"Congratulations to me! It was 22 years ago today in Ocala, Florida that I sat down one morning, reflected upon
my life, and determined that I did not like the turn that it had taken. I decided to make some serious changes, turning
my will and my life over to God."
My
life was basically a typical career girl/young business woman's life of that day, and not particularly bad - it
just wasn't good enough for me. I had a pretty cool job in management, lived in a nice house, etc., and by today's standards,
was pretty mild-mannered (it was the "Dallas" era and I hung with a rich, fast 80's happy hour crowd of mostly professional
people). However, I felt that I just wasn't living up to my expectations, I had, not too long before, worked for Estee Lauder
Corporate and thought back about where I had been and where I was "now"...I was not particularly thrilled.
Anyway,
long story short, today is a milestone, a quarter century since I - by the unction of the Holy Spirit - did the above. After
that, I went on to do most everything I had ever dreamed of in my life, including living in LA, working in the movie business
and getting window seats at Spago! - which actually EXCEEDED my expectations :) - to God be the glory!
It
is not only a milestone, but the beginning of a new era. I have been blessed with an exciting life BEYOND my expectations.
When I was a little girl, if anyone had told me that my life would be like it is and has been, I don't know that I would have
believed them. And, our best days are STILL AHEAD!
We
live in an exciting time, boys and girls, and there is much to be done...LET'S DO THIS THING!

HOW I LEARNED THAT GOD IS REAL: Once upon a time way back when Miss Goody-Two-Shoes was so sweet sugar wouldn't
melt in her mouth and did not realize that there was a real live Devil out there whose motive was to "steal, kill and maim
(detroy)" (John 10:10) and that - tooth and nail - you had to fight that SON-OF-A...oops, Miss GTS has gotten carried
away,
Anyway, when she was in the movie biz, 2 old battles-axes were giving the delicate flower Miss GTS
- a new Christian - a hard time. This upset Miss GTS terribly, but she was a trooper and did not cry in front of them. At
lunchtime, she got her new Bible and went down to the garage and sat in her car. "Lord, help" she tenderly pleaded, tears
streaming from her perfectly lined eyes.
Miss GTS opened her Bible to these beautiful words of solace: "The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers
the outcasts of Israel. He heals the BROKENHEARTED and BINDS UP THEIR WOUNDS/(sorrows)." Case closed. It was truly a miracle
and the first time she really realized real deep down inside that Our God is a right here, right now kinda Guy. Ciao

I too have a dream... I am far from a liberal, but would like to see Jacksonville be a place
where the various groups could all get along, or at least, live together - somewhat - in harmony...a place of peace. Unless
something changes, I aim to do my part and my best to make that happen. This in turn - along with other things - would help
make Jacksonville something of a "Crown Jewel" of the South, possibly the United States; a
safe haven for the weary and a glamourous destination for the robust, possibly even a model that could spread throughout the
world...call me a dreamer, Dulcinea. ;)

FRIDAY, JUNE 11, 2010: A friend & I were discussing this morning: A fair amount of
people do not realize that the word "anti" does not always mean "against", but can also mean "instead of", as in putting oneself
in the place of or usurping.
THURSDAY, JUNE 10, 2010: Happy Anniversary to me. It was 24 years ago last night that I
had my last 2 flutes ever of the bubbly (booze). However, I have still been known to furniture dance when in a wild and happy
mood.
